Abstract: When we compare the resonances of the harmonic oscillator to the natural numbers, we obtain that the resonances of the ground state are the primes and the resonances of the overtones are the composite numbers. From this analogy, we assume that the primes and their overtones should include all the natural numbers. This assumption yields a Zipfian primes counting function that with a continuous variable is the offset logarithmic integral approximation Li(n).
