Abstract: Benford's law is an effective tool to test the quality of data sets. In order to strengthen the research on the quality evaluation of agrometeorological data, this paper empirically analyzed the precipitation data sets of China from 1951 to 2015 from the time, space and time staggered dimensions. It was found that the overall and local quality of precipitation data sets in China was high. Further improvement and expansion of Benford's law's application in the future can help to detect and control the quality of agricultural data efficiently and improve the utilization rate of agricultural data.
