Abstract: Examples are given for random variables X having logarithmic mantissa distributions relative to all bases b from an interval 1< b ≤ a < +∞. If on the other hand the bj>1, j=1,2,... form a set of bases such that limsupj→∞bj=+∞, then there exists no random variable X having logarithmic mantissa (first digit) distribution relative to each base bj.
