Abstract: Developing teaching materials suitable for audit professionals is an important step towards increasing the understanding and usage of the Benford's Law feature within Generalized Audit Software. This teaching material provides both a conceptual background about Benford's Law and guided instructions about using the Benford's Law feature of ACL to perform fraud detection procedures. The associated teaching notes augment the instructional material with post tests and an assignment covering Benford's Law with accounting data.
