INTRODUCTION: Let p_n be the number of digits of the n-th Fibonacci number, and ξ = (1+ √5)/2. The object of this note is to show that both the upper and lower bounds in ⎿(pn - 1)/log ξ ⏌ ≤ n - 1 ≤⎿pn /log ξ ⏌are attained for a set of values n having positive density.
